The Attica Lifer’s Organization seeks to address two major issues both inside and outside the correctional system. The group has an extensive community outreach agenda with which it works to improve the lives of people in Attica’s surrounding communities. The Attica Lifers Blog is an online manifestation of the steps taken by members of the lifer’s group to reflect upon their time in Attica. It further attempts to effect positive change in people’s lives—their own lives, and the lives of those in the communities around them. From showcasing offender initiatives—reflective essays, educational curricula, and philanthropic endeavors—the Attica Lifers Blog portrays another side of the inmate experience—the side in which inmates not only serve time, but serve others.

This site is intended to extend the reach of lifers’ insight and allow a platform for input from the community. In an effort to improve communication between the citizens of (community within?)
